How to Fix Quicken Not Downloading Bank of America Transactions
In response to the preceding question, if Quicken is unable to download transactions from the Bank of America account, the following strategies may assist you with it. First, log on to your bank's homepage and make sure that your Bank of America account information is up to date. If not, when you log in, you may need to change your username or password.
Then
make sure Quicken is the latest version. Checking Help > Check for Updates
in Quicken should let you know whether you have the latest version. Older
versions may not integrate with newer security measures or requirements placed
by the bank.
Depending
on the connection method that was used in Quicken, you can check in more
detail: Account Settings > Online Services > Bank of America and make
sure that it is set up with the right connection method - Direct Connect or
Express Web Connect. While Express Web Connect is usually included, it is free
of charge. Direct Connect may charge some service fees, but it provides better
service.
If,
for some reason, the transactions still do not come through, go to the Account
Settings, Deactivate this account in Quicken, then go to Deactivate Online
Services, and then go back and add it again.
Lastly,
visit the Quicken Support website or ask Bank of America’s customer services to
check if there are any outages or server issues. If these don’t help, Quicken Customer Support has the resources to help deal with the problems.
